I never expected to be this poor at blogging! I haven't even looked at the blog for months or even had a thought about what to write. However, here I am trying... Truthfully, I'm procrastinating from grad school work, but I'm still here! Right??
I thought I'd reflect on the past year. My birthday is on Friday, which is followed by mine and Aaron's first wedding anniversary. I'd love to sit here and say its been an easy year, hmmm... I can say that its been a blast! Between grad school and procert; house building and church responsibilities, we have had our hands full. We have still made some time for yard work (cough, 3 tons of weed, cough, 5 pallets of sod, cough) and painted some rooms in our house. It seems that the older I get the more busy I become. At the same time I am learning that "being busy" is just an excuse for not using your time right. Hopefully, I can learn to use my time better by the time we have little Petermans because I know that it is all going to be more hectic then! For now Aaron and I are just going to keep working away at all we have to do and make sure to enjoy each other every chance we can get!
This year has also been a year of discovery. I am learning so much about being a wife and growing with my husband. I feel like there is still so much to learn about him and I hope there is always more to know. We have tried to get away a little this year. We went to Mt. Hood and Portland during spring break which was so good for us (note: snow plows are strong and can push you out from being high-centered!) We also got to enjoy some time at the beach with his family. That was where we found out how much fun antiquing was. Hopefully, I'll share some new projects that we will start when things "slow down a bit."
I'm going to stop writing now. This blog is so random it needs to end!

First try...
Several times over the last few months I have thought to myself...hmm I might enjoy writing this down. Keyword...might. I am not a writer, I have never been a writer and I have never really enjoyed writing. So I decided to try blogging. I'm not really planning on advertising this blog to many friends or family. I am not worried about others reading, but I'm doing this for me, not anyone else. I am planning on adding a link to my facebook account and that's it!
My goals for this blog is to share simple stories from my life, upload a variety of pictures and have some sort of written records of mine and Aaron's life. Oh, and I'm sure they'll be some picture updates of our constant house projects!
I'm going to leave this post with a picture of our puppy Sadie. She was outside on her chain, while Aaron and I were inside having a "little" disagreement. We went outside to find her like this:
Needless to say our fight was over and we had a blast laughing at our dog in the flower part.
Well, I guess that is all for now!
